In addition to the longest home winning streak, we also are 4th in terms of current win streaks: http://warrennolan.com/basketball/2016/stats
Only Grand Canyon, Stony Brook, and North Carolina have longer active win streaks. Coincidentally, Grand Canyon plays at New Mexico State next Thursday. Starting on Monday, North Carolina has a three game road trip including Louisville, Notre Dame, and Boston College. As good as UNC is this year, I don't think they'll make it through that stretch unscathed.

This will sound simplistic and condescending and it's meant as neither.
This is something that should be celebrated, cherished and worn like a badge of honor for every fan at every game for however long it lasts.
Every one of us should take a moment to enjoy that we had something to do with it....however small. Yes, this is about the program, coaches and most of all the players, but winning streaks don't happen in quiet 5000 seat arenas that are half full.
And every one of us should walk into the next game with the express belief and desire to do what they can to extend that streak 1 more game.
I know people don't like to test karma, but things like this don't come along very often. Why NOT celebrate it?
I would love to see the University do just that.
Let's see signs on every entrance next game. Be creative, celebrate the achievement. It will end at some point, but why not embrace a unique accomplishment?
Through these doors walk the fans of the longest current home winning streak in the nation CHEER ANGRY!! Run loop video of Gregg imploring the fans to get loud. Run the end of halftime video of the kids yelling and getting the fans riled up. #WENEEDYOU!
We could do what the team did 2 seasons ago and name each game. The next game could be the Richard Petty game (NASCAR will sponsor anything...get marketing ON IT!)
But have fun....embrace the moment, don't be scared of it.....and for gosh sake, ENJOY THE RIDE!!!!!! It's not going to last forever, but whenever it does, I hope we give them the cheers they deserve.

I don't know next years schedule yet, but I don't think making it to 47 this year has any reason to be some sort of end to the magical run. We are still going to be much more talented than most (if not all) of the teams we will play, and we've got the best coach in the country. With a couple of breaks, this thing's ending could be a long ways off."You Don't Have to Play a Perfect Game. Your Best is Good Enough."
