WSU Versus UNI Predictions and Pregame Discussions

I'd like to add I'm sick of UNI and their super bowl mentality towards WSU. It's disgusting they lead the all time series 26-25 even though the Shocks have mostly owned them of late winning 7 of 9.

The series mostly started during the 90s of incompetence and that more than anything skews the results, but still.......

They have 3 wins in 4 overtime games (the 1 Shocker win being a meaningless 2OT play in game win in St Louis) and 6 other 1 basket wins, vs just 1 for WSU. That's unreal, to say nothing as to how some of those happened. The douchenozzle hitting a 3 here that probably cost the '05 team an at large, the 2011 game here where they shoot near 60% and twice as many free throws and turn the ball over like 4 times, Viet's 3 pointer to beat WSU in '08, the debacle in '06 that really started the disaster (not ignoring the Vegas trip just before) where WSU, again, get no calls at home, and on and on. Unusual performances by average players getting the better of the better team. Sick of it. A 92-50 type final will just mildly soothe my angst.

That '05 game at the Chuck. Dang! The quietness still hurts my ears.

Maybe. Like I said, just a gut feeling. Anton has had some good games this year. We know what he is capable of, so we know he could break out and be that guy again. I just think tonight is the night that Kelly finally shows us all what HC3G was talking about when he said RK was probably the most improved player. I wouldn't be at all unhappy if Anton went big either, and I've been completely wrong before, and probably will be again.

While I agree with you, I don't feel, I believe that this team is starting to find it's sweet spot and start firing on all cylinders, which it has not done yet.


All the goals are still in front of them and I believe they are starting to hit their stride. I like to keep my predictions for the big ones, but I won't be surprised if the guys are really impressive tomorrow.

This is exactly how I feel. I feel like we are finally clicking big-time. I think we have turned a huge corner and the future is looking very bright. Very bright indeed.

Would be pretty cool to see all of our bench guys go off. Get Grady, Connor, Kelly, and Duff all going. Let the starters sit half the game while these guys go for about 50.

Look for McDuffie and Frankamp to have another good road game. We should own them in the post - Morris and Grady with big games. Gotta stop their 3 point shooting and we should be fine.

Were there any game winning, buzzer beater shots by the other team that actually missed during those Turgeon years? Pretty sure every single one went in.
