The problem with UNI fans is they only care about UNI when UNI is winning. They would all rather be Hawkeyes, and since the Hawkeyes are having a great season UNI hoops don't really matter. Sure the stadium will be full and they will have their purple and yellow overalls on. I guess it's an Iowa thing.

In the half of a workday since I earlier posted about the lack of game talk on the UNI forum, there has been a grand total of three posts made by two posters in their basketball forum.

Big men should make the difference. Anton and Shaq should eat these guys up provided they stay out of foul trouble. Even then, Rauno and Bush should hold their own. Guard the three, make FTs again and get the hell out of there with a win.

UNI will shoot lights out this game, I just know it. They pissed their pants on their own court against lowly Loyola, but they always get a stiffy when WSU comes to town. This one might be a tough win, but we'll still get it done.

UNI fans are the worst. Living in Iowa, been to every game since about 2000 in Cedar Falls and the fans never cease to amaze me. Hoping for a 20+ point win so that way I can be loud from tip to buzzer!

Get the perimeter playing like they are now along with the bigs playing like they were a couple of weeks ago (for at least a couple of games), and this team will be real close to unstoppable.

Yes...meaning I think there is very little chance anyone could stop them if that were the case. I'm not sure what the question is.

In their victories over North Carolina and Iowa State Wes Washpun averaged 24.5 points on 62% shooting. In UNI's 4 MVC losses he has averaged 13.5 points on 39% shooting. In all those games he put up double digit shots. I don't think we will stop him from shooting the ball, we just need to make sure they are not layups.

Paul Jesperson is the joker in the deck for me. He has not looked good in the games I've watched. He does have the capability of getting hot and throwing up big numbers. Get on him early and keep his dobber down.

I think our guys are on a mission. I expect a double digit victory. If we get up big early it could be as ugly as at CKA two years ago.

Fred/Ron/Zach know this very well. That is one of the reasons why the 2nd time against UNI last year went way better than the first.
