How about that Fred Van Vleet fella? He can play a little roundball, no?

Who will be our big dog that steps up against UNI?

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:

Where are you? You missed the game and the predicted score hasn't changed all year. Has someone locked you in the basement? Is Dave doing the posting for you?

What's really weird about KW's scores is that he never identifies the teams. Usually the road team is listed on top in a vertical format, so that's good news for Wednesday, but has he been expecting WSU's home streak to end all this time?

I had to coach yesterday. :/ I gotta say, watching your son one-touch a ball played across his body and crack it to the upper-90 for the game winning goal > watching the Shox ravage the Sycamores.

As regards 75, 74 -- I'm going to get it right eventually!! Probably when we play North Carolina, but maybe one of these MVC games goes to triple overtime and another team eventually scores more than 65 on us?

Did you hear that MVC??? It's only 65 friggin' points! You can do it!

The Shox will ALWAYS be on top in my prediction posts. Both figuratively and literally.

Need to make an early statement and NOT give them reason to believe. As always, playing
angry smothering defense is the key, rebound and take care of the ball. Do that and we keep
them from their A game and that is the only way they win. They probably have a B+ game to
keep it close but we win a tough road game 73-68

No way to nail this one down. Could range from the shellacking we gave SIU in Carbondale, to being on the wrong side of the score we saw at the Evansville game at CKA. UNI is Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde this year.

The bad thing is that while most of us probably circled this one as a loss going in to this season, it could still be such, but instead of an L from a top 50 team, it could be an L from a team that might possibly be outside of the top 150 come selection Sunday.

I wonder what the atmosphere of Wednesday's game will bring @UNI. By default, one might think a raucous crowd, but a quick look at the UNI forum shows literally no conversation about the WSU game in two days, with a forum pulse only one degree removed from dumpster fire status. If their forum is representative of their fanbase as a whole, then the game atmosphere might be crickets.

The problem with UNI fans is they only care about UNI when UNI is winning. They would all rather be Hawkeyes, and since the Hawkeyes are having a great season UNI hoops don't really matter. Sure the stadium will be full and they will have their purple and yellow overalls on. I guess it's an Iowa thing.

I would expect that UNI will have a good, energetic crowd. I also don't expect that such a crowd will have any significant impact on the Shocks although it might inspire the UNI team. That said I consider every game to be a potential pitfall with @UNI being one of the top 5 remaining challenges on our schedule.

That said I think the Shocks are particularly well equipped to deal with the tools that UNI can bring to bear principally their perimeter shooting. We have the tools defensively to deal with that quite effectively IMO. Would like to see our bigs play well on both ends and be real difference makers in this game. Arguably, the Shocks appear to be perhaps finally starting to hit their stride over the last 3 games although the bigs have only been so-so in those games. IMO I don't think this Shocker team has peaked yet. Would like to see them take another step upwards in this game.

Get the perimeter playing like they are now along with the bigs playing like they were a couple of weeks ago (for at least a couple of games), and this team will be real close to unstoppable.
