I'm not trying to dispute this but I'm curious as to the basis for the relationship. I noticed this during the 35-1 season and the announcers even talked about it during the Valley Tournament championship game. What's the connection between the staffs?

Can't say anything as to the current relationship as some of the assistant coaches have changed, but in the 35-1 season, all of our assistants were from Iowa, as is Greg Lansing. Jans, Heiar, and Forbes have probably known Lansing for years.

It will be interesting to see how Ron does today. Khristian Smith has been one of his more difficult matchups in the past.

No kidding. I was listening on headphones while reading and had the same confused "what did he..." reaction as the people in Old School trying to figure out the F bombs that the wedding singer was working into the song.

I get that the world is a way different place than 50 years ago, but for forks sake man. I'm glad for a variety of reasons that he didn't ask it on the Coach's show.

I didn't hear the start of the call. Just the end where he asked about the ratio of "African American" players to White players.

Mike and Dave handled it perfectly by saying they never thought about it and it doesn't matter. It is sad anyone even gives a thought about such things.
