  • Coaches Show

I listened to some of the Coaches Show tonight.

I thought if people who listened would list the highlights, we could learn something.

The one thing that I remembered that was of interest was that Coach said that the ink wasn't dry on the contract yet and he wanted to wait until the deal was completely done but we had a possible H/H (he didn't say h/h but it seemed like he was hinting that way) with another area school. We can speculate on who he was talking about but this is exciting. Has anyone heard more about who he may have been talking about?

He said it was within driving distance. My guess is he was referencing Creighton.

Coach said after his injury Anton used to just sit and stare at the wall during practice.

He also made a comparison of the caliber of Landry's basketball ability to Ron and Fred.

Didn't hear the show, montser, but that's been a continuing theme with Marshall -- he seems extremely high on Landry as a future cornerstone, not only from the standpoint of basketball ability but also in terms of mental makeup. I get the impression he's also extremely high on McDuffie, but that Markis has to continue developing physically whereas Landry is physically ready for his role right now.

That's scary. No wonder coach wasn't sure he'd ever play again.

I would have guessed Kansas State.

Considering a creighton fan mentioned something on here a couple weeks ago about it being renewed, i am guessing creighton as well. Though KSU would be a good series as well.

I'd have to guess Creighton based on the rumor mill, but I wouldn't be shocked if it was OSU either, since they have very recently been to Wichita for a scrimmage.

Any of the three would be an added bonus over a coue of teams on the schedule.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was SMU or Colorado.

With Fred and Ron gone next year I wouldn't be surprised at any power 5 team wanting to start a H/H early next season.
If you're not going to go all the way, why go?

If "driving distance" was in reference to the fans, then yeah, these would fit. If it was "driving" for the team, then OSU or Tulsa or KSU. Creighton, SMU, Colorado would be fly games for sure.

"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:

Did he say starting next year? Sully mentioned the earliest a WSU/CU series could start was 2017. My guess, KState.
