    He had ZERO offensive skill in HS. He blocked shots on defense, but I wouldn't have called him a good or above average defender. The drool over him was misplaced. He'd be a good pick up, but I wouldn't call him a player who would make others better. He would have a ways to go to be productive.

    There is often an unintended conspiracy among scouts. If one likes a kid it tends to fester into fact, and god forbid one college jumps on board early, then it steamrolls. There is also a mentality among most coaches that they can be The One who can get (insert player name) to play or develop. It's a bad combination.

      After all that talk about talent, I find myself thinking it'd be fun to have this guy pull an Armstead or Frankamp and walk on at WSU for a year.
