You have a long memory and a short temper and of all the contributors on this forum you do the least but have the biggest ego. I'm not going to call you names. You aren't worth the time.
Don't open yourself up to ridicule in the first place. It's better to impose a 24-hour ban on yourself after losses. It'll cut down on your quick gut reactions that go totally overboard with the "sky is falling" junk.

If WSU doesn't go 35-0 every year, it's a failure. You're so freaking predictable.

I thought the effort was there today. The perimeter defense was not.

Regardless of the less than stellar 3-pt defense, 52% is an insane day.

This was one of the most aggravating Thanksgivings ever. USC is not good. They'll finish 9th or 10th in the PAC 12. Our perimeter defense continues to suck. Another wide open shootaround for the opposing team. Just horrible, horrible defense. That, even without FVV, is unforgivable.

Our offense is ragged and lost, as to be expected. Just a lot of bad shots and horrible empty possessions. We just have no flow on offense. Again, with as many minutes as the youngins are getting, I can understand it. Baker just has to force everything now. Nothing ever is easy coming to him and he still nearly willed the team to victory. McDuffie continues to impress me on the offensive end. He has no handles but he's a stud. We just saw a sample. His defense lets a lot to be desired though.

When you have JRS and Ty Taylor getting significant minutes in the backcourt, it's just gonna be really hard to win meaningful basketball games. At full strength and with a little bit of outside D, we beat USC by 20.

Grady looked soft as hell today. Forced some bad shots also. Of course he wasn't getting many touches like he should have been so he was probably frustrated.

The amount of careless turnovers was the most frustrating aspect of all. Just totally not something we're used to seeing for the last 5 years.

Boatright will go 1 for 13 tomorrow. Watch.

We would've gotten drilled by Xavier so maybe we can get a confidence booster against Bama. They, like USC, are also not good.

It was a fun 42 straight weeks in the rankings. Hopefully we see you again soon.

My post is not significantly more negative than yours, you just feel like you have to police the forums because you have some sort of massive hypocritical ego. And before you claim that I'm ALWAYS negative or down on the team:

Great call and execution on the press.
JRS is showing that he can contribute. Him and McDuffie giving us strong minutes off the bench.
              Still liking McDuffie.
I like what I've seen from McDuffie.
Finally started doing things on offense.
This is the type of year that the regular season is only relevant in regards to our final rank. We lose this game 8 out of 10 times from where it is now, but we can't be too upset about it. The polls literally do not matter; the only thing that I care about this season is our record in the NCAA tournament. That said, we've played worse than Tulsa. We played significantly worse the first half, and got bailed out by Fred going hero; we should have been down 10 or 12 at half-time. Good news is that it is mostly on our new guys. Our big 3 have 44 points and 17 rebounds. Our freshmen and sophomores have 10 points, 10 rebounds, 7 turnovers, 15 fouls. The guys that need to improve are the guys that should improve down the road.
Truth is, you don't care if you or your buddies get negative but viciously attack enough outside your inner circle for the same thoughts. I already knew we probably weren't winning this tournament, and I have stated multiple times that I only care about this regular season in regards to the route it gives us at the end of the year. It is simply a fact that our schedule is frontloaded, and that our injuries are going to give us a much harder route. I'm still hopeful we'll be able to pull off another 2012-2013 season if we get fully healthy, but it is downright unreasonable to expect us to get a particularly high seed given the committee's history of underseeding us and given how tough the next couple weeks are.

Alabama, Iowa/Dayton, and @Saint Louis are all loseable games. Even at 100% UNLV and Utah could be very tough games. @Evansville, @UNI and the MVC championship will be tough. If those are 50/50 games and we drop 1-2 random games throughout the season then 6-8 total losses is completely reasonable.

I also laughed at it, until I stopped and realized it was a five point swing in the game. His miss cost us 2 points and ignited a USC fast break that resulted in (another) wide open made three pointer.

                      • I thought the effort was there today. We ran a lot of good stuff early and got a lot of good looks, we just couldn't hit any of them. If we hit even 40% of our open shots in the first ten minutes, we would've been up by 15. Made some silly mistakes in the second half as well, but I didn't think it was lack of effort. I can't even blame it on freshmen, as our big seniors had several as well.

I don't know about "ignite" but it was a key pivot point. Too many deflections, and not the good kind on the other end.

First Marshall team without a pure PG since Toure filling in while Rags figured it out, and it shows. Way too much confusion on O - and that is amplified by the 5 less seconds on the shot clock.

Ummm, I'm sure there are other terms for it, but starting a fast break by any other name causes the same outcome.

                            • Also - I'm not down on the situation and think all things considered it could have been way worse given our shooting, their shooting, PG situation, and underclassmen minutes.

I really really really hope Mr Taylor figures out how HUGE of an opportunity there is for minutes for a pass-first PG that can run the offense and distribute...

I don't disagree, just saying the play resulted in a 50/50 ball in the lane not a steal in the backcourt for a breakaway dunk.

I'll admit I'm splitting hairs though. I sat on the baseline so I could watch the bench better, and 3Gs face said it all on that one. I can't verify but I bet it wasn't too different from Ron throwing the bullet to EO instead of shooting the open 3 up 11 with 11 to go against Louisville... it was a "I wish we could take that one back" face.
