That is the most ineffective situation for him, in my opinion. It is also the situation that has the highest re-injury risk. I would rather he plays planned minutes at planned intervals or not at all.
That's a good point. I didn't think about the 'getting cold' on the bench part. Though that can be solved by having him just on a bike lol :) .. I'm ok with whatever 3G, FVV, and the Doctors agree on.

    • suit up Fred, keep him warm on a bike or something, and tell Ty and JR that their main job is to keep Fred on the bench by playing well.

For sure. I am equal parts terrified and excited either way.

        • I'd give Fred 10-15 mins; just to get some game action under his belt.

WSU SHOULD be fine without him Saturday, so why not ease him back in and have him ready for UNLV and Utah?

Now if Conner is cleared for SLU, they can definitely afford to sit in Fred again. I know Fred is itching to play, but we'll all saw what happened in Friday Night Lights! (Not the same injury, I know)

Speaking of which. Any update it the professors decided to be "heroes" and allow him to take his finals early?

I like this limited minutes idea. IF he is 100%, let him warm up, start, and play him some limited number of minutes. However, if 3G, FVV, OR any doctor or any other member of the staff has any question about whether or not he is 100% ready to go, sit him in a good spot to coach up the youngsters as they come off the floor.

Is that worse than being Rick-rolled?

                Good work, @rjl:.

                • I think we should only play Fred if we win the game...

                  • I've said it before, if he can make it through 2 consecutive practices full bore, then he is ready. It sounds like he has practiced through only 85% of each of the last 2 sessions.

But he should be able to play in 72% of the SLU game though, amirite?

If he plays in 72% of the SLU game and 72% of all remaing games, I'm good. If he plays 1%, 5%, 15%, or whatever of the SLU game and zero for the next 10 games because he reinjured it, I will be pissed.

                        • 40 X 72.25% = 28.9 minutes. With Frankamp becoming available December 9 if all goes as planned, that should be enough from LeFred. Personally, I'd rather see him wait until then to start playing his 28.9 minutes a game, though. Surely WSU can get by SLU without him?

                          • Early line has WSU at -2.

If I was a gambling man (or had a bookie), I would take the Shocks to cover that spread all day long.

                                Wow.

I mean, I get that we lost some games. St. Louis is light years away from the teams we played in Orlando though.
