I think this gives us the best chance to win but it might put a damper on Ty's development as a PG.

How else is he going to build confidence? Honest question. in about 3 weeks, we will be 3rd off the bench for PG. He can shoot, thats for sure, and during the ESU game I saw him start to have more confidence directing traffic on the offensive end. He just needs to learn which passes to make and which shots to pass up (though most of his shots have gone in)

I'd like to see Kelly be more assertive on offense, as well.

He can build confidence against cupcakes. If I thought he would well at PG against USC then of course I would say put him out there and let him play the whole game. But I don't think Ty playing starter minutes at PG against USC is going to help his confidence. I think it would be ugly. Like I said, I hope I'm proven wrong but that's how I see it right now.

Too bad this feels like it could have been avoidable, by sitting him the first three games, instead of these next three games.

Well, Taylor is already a third of the way to Henderson's season total for threes last year. He clearly has some work to do, however.

Baker needs to be the PG, although not enough to wear himself out, with Simon and Taylor backing him up. Shamet's the logical SG if he can play, but if not, it's definitely Zach Brown's time to step up. Time to Play Angry, not Nervous.

Zach Brown is definitely at the top of the list of people that need to step up and be a winner. He was showing great signs at the end of last year, but hasn't started well this season at all.

I can see it now. Committee fails to account for team health, or lack thereof, throughout the regular season. Losses to Tulsa and someone in Orlando keep the Shox in the lower half of the top 25 most of the year. Shox get way underseeded, but make a strong run come March with team health and chemistry as strong as ever.
I think the same thing, and that's why I haven't started panicking yet.

Watcher makes a good point that JRS will almost certainly be relied on this weekend.

Talk about an opportunity. It would be awesome if he could provide valuable minutes and secure his place as most valuable permanent walk-on in memory.

                        I'd still like our chances.

Hearing that LS injury is worse than one game, maybe end of December at best. Injury not from the fall he took.

Exactly, that's my biggest frustration. The training and coaching staff really messed up on this one. First off when Fred was hurt on October 29th there is no reason why he needed to play in a meaningless scrimmage against OSU two days later. Then when he hurt himself further in that scrimmage they should have just sat him for the next 3-4 weeks until he was healed. This mistake is probably going to cost us several winnable games and that's the part of the deal that's so frustrating. I understand that injuries happen and that Fred is tough, but there are some types of injuries that you really can't just tough your way through and this is one of them.
