I would like to see Rashard be more assertive tomorrow, make them pay for doubling Grady, as they likely will. I'd also like to see Brown not panic when pressure comes, his TO rate of nearly 40% is untenable. If he can calm down, we all know what kind of talent he has. Last, Ty currently has the highest usage rate on the team. As a starter I'd like to see him look to initiate the offense and drop that stat.

We have one of the greatest coaches in the nation patrolling the sideline and I believe in these kids. We've taken a punch in the mouth with injuries so far, I am excited to watch our boys start to punch back. Let's go Shockers!

What's really going to be great is watching our bipolar attitude swing hard back the other direction of we do win. All the sudden I will be sure we will win a title again even though right now I'm acting like 1-2 is a realistic expectation. And inevitably several people will make one of those humble brag posts about how "they predicted a win and got ridiculed for it bit by golly they were right."

I have to continue to say the sky is falling for now but as soon as we win a couple games I will be back to saying how we will still go undefeated. :)

Today's Wichita Eagle has us favored by 3 to win. Starters should be Grady, Wessel,Kelly Baker, and Brown or Taylor. USC is tall, very tall starting a FR. 2-SO. 2 JR.

A key today is cleaning glass. This would be a game that it would be nice to see Wessel play as he did in our wins versus KU and UNI wins last Season. In the KU game he made 4-3-pointers and grabbed 9 rebounds. So far this Season he is averaging 3 points and 2 rebounds. Look for Hamilton and MM to get more minutes which could be a nice boost this week overall. Brown came on strong later last Season and I think he and Taylor will do a fine job today. Between Kelly and Shaq, we need for one or both to step up solid in all 3 games. BWam will get his chance for minutes today and will go against some solid big USC players.

Last but not least, I am hoping we draw many more fouls that we commit by playing solid D. and penetrating without charging on offense for better shots. Right now, we have been making less than a third of our 3-pointers. This needs to improve starting today but we need to establish something good inside as well. A win today could do wonders for our beloved Shocks who are facing adversity but USC will be a tough test and are 4-0 this Season.
