  • What blows the roof off Koch Arena higher?

    Lets first set the scene:
Its senior day, WSU goes into halftime with a 6-8 point lead. The "we're putting them away" run begins a few minutes into the second half. The crowd is at full throat. ISU is getting flustered.
We get a steal, streaking down court for the dunk.

Now, what brings the house down harder, an Evan dunk or a Fred dunk?

Evan handling on the way down the court, throwing up the lob for Fred to bring the house down with his best Tekelicopter impersonation.

Edit: I was actually thinking of Intrust Bank Arena...Conner going nuts from the 3 point line, FVV passes him the ball coming off a screen, Fred's defender runs to Conner to try to stop the bleeding while FVV goes backdoor for the alley-oop over Poeltl (sp). That place would go nuts.

      A John Robert Simon dunk.

The question was what blows the roof off of CKA, not what would you ask a genie if you only had one wish.

When we win the National Championship this year. A big screen in Koch is set up to a packed house for those who couldn't go in person.

They really wouldn't even have to set up a big screen. Just put it on the center court scoreboard.

Another scenario - It is senior day, WSU goes into the final 15 seconds of the game undefeated and has a 25 point lead. All the seniors, juniors, and sophomores have taken their bows and we have nothing but freshmen on the court for the final seconds. Landry Shamet is dribbling the ball and puts up a pass for Eric Hamilton to dunk. At the last moment 3G runs onto the court, out leaps Hamilton, and rams the damn ball through the net.

              And POOF goes the roof!

I don't think they allow those mini-trampolines during games.

You guys have it all wrong. The single greatest height of achievement is to take home an Arch Madness trophy. We learned that from the McDermotts, who would rather do that than play in a Final 4. If we could somehow win the MVC tournament inside CKA, that would blow the roof completely off.

I vote for a senior night Baker to Vanvleet ally oop to end the game with 4 minutes left.
