The overuse of the phrase " It's like a chess game out there " ......... It's even crept into other areas of language now........ I always wonder how many of these people that use the phrase actually play chess ??

Paul Morhy developed this problem when he was 5 yrs old.........

It's White to move , and Mate in 2 ........

Insufferable OU sports fans. Which really means OU football fans because in their minds there are only 3 sports seasons: recruiting season, football season, Spring football. I now spend waaaaaay too much time around these people.

BTW, did you know when an OU football fan travels to the OU-Texas game, the average IQ of both states goes up.
Should be four seasons because you left out lingerie football.

I would need my chess sensei @HockeyShock: to confirm, but Rook to A6 appears correct. If black captures the rook with the pawn, white pushes the pawn up for checkmate. If black tries to stall by bringing out the bishop, white captures the pawn at A7 with the rook for checkmate.

"Nick Saban wins revenge games at a 82% rate at Alabama!" -- well he wins all games at a ~83% rate at Alabama sooo 82% isn't all that surprising...
Got to admit, me me chuckle...so true.

Which is like when something goes from a 1 in 1000 chance to 3 in 1000, but the statement is "your risk is tripled!"

One hundred percent correct! One of my favorite mate-in-2 puzzles.
