If this is correct then there has to be some kind of exception or waiver or we're getting away with breaking the rules because I know we played 16 at least once if not several times last season.

All 13 scholarship players and Bush, Simon and Walker before Bush was hurt.

I think you might be mistaken, Wu. 15 is the max, there is no waiver. In an exhibition game, you can suit up as many as you would like but only 15 players can dress in a regular game. Are you sure all 13 scholarship players suited? Maybe a scholarship player was hurt and didn't dress for a game.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

15 can dress for a road game. You can dress as many as you like at home. I'm not sure how many can play at home.

There were many games Glass was suited but did not play.

Didn't sCUm have like 20 guys on their roster two years ago?

I tried to find something on that in the NCAA D-1 manual but did not find anything. Doesn't mean it isn't in that 400+ page document somewhere I just wasn't successful in finding it.

Like you, I have no idea whether we get Issac or not. Also, if we did land him for this Season, I have no idea how to make the ships balance. However, since we are on the outside looking in, who knows what could happen and I am not worried about that at all.

With that said, if there was ever a Season we would have a great shot at Dancing deep in, as we have done only a few times ever, Now is the time. I say that knowing we have a cast of Seniors that can lead us to the basketball promise land. Thus, if we did land such a player as Issac, then my hopes are we go for it right now. No use waiting until the Christmas the following Season. The future is Now, as the old saying goes.

Even with the squad we have right now with no additions, we can bang loudly on doors at the Dance and knock them down if we have to because we have quality depth we have never had from top to bottom here before IMO. Along with the depth, we have some very experienced leadership along with top-quality Coaching.

Compare this squad with the our last Final 4 team. That Season, we had the talent, got hot when you want to get hot, handled the match ups as smooth as silk, and went as far into the Dance that we were picked to end up in the Valley race preseason that year. This team could also be such a team. Stay tuned.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

That is my understanding. Not sure that is all that appealing of an option to me. Of course, Isaac Humphries could also. Again not really very appealing. I suppose if push came to shove and Landry was open to that, and he might be considering our depth at the guard position, then maybe you can convince him that would be a good option for his long-term development if it came down to that.

I'm sure 3G will be guided by the sage advise of one Mr. Yogi Berra: When you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Perhaps I misunderstood the recruiting of Shament...but if Shament was coming into the program as the successor of Van Vleet for the Point Guard position...wouldn't it be a grand idea to have him learn under the tutelage of Van Vleet for one year? Or do we have that position covered already once Fred graduates? I'd just hate to see us fall back a step or two with an inexperienced point guard going into the 16'-17' season.

It's Shamet, and he's more of a wing guard.

At least prior to his freshman year at WSU, Shamet projects as a 1, 2, or 3. I imagine it will sort itself out. Conner and Tyrone are combo guards...I know Taylor sees himself as a point, but not yet a given IMO.
