Vegas makes a lot of money off of people who think they can pull one over on Vegas because they have info they think hasn't hit Vegas yet. When there's money on the line, Vegas knows - and there's always money on the line in Vegas.

Vegas doesn't care about Humphries. If people are trying to pull one over on Vegas by betting Wichita State, the payout on Wichita State will go lower. If no one bets on Wichita State, the payout will go up.

So wife in Vegas and goes to lay down a National Championship bet on the Shockers. Odds right now are 25-1, but that is down from what they opened at which was 50-1. Some money is being put on the Shocks.

Thank you Steele for clarifying my post; a $100 bet at 50-1 was worth the risk for me. The return on a $100 at 17-1 does not entice me to make the bet without knowing for sure the Shockers will have a 7 foot Aussie playing the 5 next season.

Could it be that we are a serious contender at the next Dance because our starting guards have already played together 3 Seasons there in a row? Next, I do like our bench strength which can help in an epic way. Speaking of bench strength, we have the Marshall Plan moving the x and o's for us. Against Indiana, we did not shoot well from the outside but our Defense saved the day. This coming Season, we for sure have added several shooters and scorers to our squad and our D will again be solid. Last Season, our rebounding edge was not what it has been in the past. This Season, I have a hunch that we will be a very good rebounding team. Just a few thoughts for this thread that I have been thinking about lately.

Major factor. IMO tournament games are won and lost by guard play. The teams that go deep are usually tenured at the position. Fred and Ron will be fun to watch with 1 more year to get it done.

Gotcha, a couple of my Beaker and Tar Heels friends were shooting their mouths off and offered 200-1 for a $500 bet but when I accepted neither would book the bet nor would they "split" the bet. I offered 100-1 for $100 but neither one would take that bet. As we all know Beakers can "talk the talk but cannot walk the walk".
