SI tabs WSU as a team that could win NC

Should we get "The Land of Auz" for next season...I think that Sports Illustrated list bumps Wichita St. from #10 chance of winning the National Championship all the way up to #2...possibly #1. Yes...we are indeed living in good times!!!!

Could it be that we are a serious contender at the next Dance because our starting guards have already played together 3 Seasons there in a row? Next, I do like our bench strength which can help in an epic way. Speaking of bench strength, we have the Marshall Plan moving the x and o's for us. Against Indiana, we did not shoot well from the outside but our Defense saved the day. This coming Season, we for sure have added several shooters and scorers to our squad and our D will again be solid. Last Season, our rebounding edge was not what it has been in the past. This Season, I have a hunch that we will be a very good rebounding team. Just a few thoughts for this thread that I have been thinking about lately.

he would seem to be an active big man. that's a good thing.

And he can do so without fouling, which is huge. I generally liked DC and his play but his inability to stay on the court in key games really hurt us last year. I don't think we need Grady to play 30 MPG this season but I hope it's because we need to give him some rest or 3G wants to put Shaq or Rashard out there to bang and not because Grady can't move his feet.

Summer trip to Vegas in July. My hope is I can still lock in at 40-1 odds while we land the Aussie. Looking at the SI list of NC contenders WSU at 40-1 is good value. I'm just wondering how long it will remain at those odds.

When I was in Vegas 3 weeks ago, MGM grand had the WSU odds at 18:1.

You really have to comparison shop on futures as I've discovered a wide variance in Vegas.
