Will Kunkel and Jeff Parsons are the definition of garbage journalism.. WSU reignited basketball success and suddenly we got Kunkel and Parsons being haters and trolls. It's probably the biggest journalism fail that i've ever seen. I could understand if they were KC media, but they are working in WICHITA. I don't think KWCH recovers from that dumpster fire. It wouldn't be as bad, if the KU/KSU fan bases weren't some of the worst in the nation.

Any fanbase can be viewed as the worst, depending on how you look at determining the parameters of what qualifies as worst, and also, isolating segments within the fanbase.

I don't know who the worst fanbase in the country is, but I do know that the most defensive fanbase in the country is KU. Their fans really don't belong in the big 12, where there generally is no defense.

I know a lot of UNC fans, Duke fans, OU fans, etc... there's no fan-base more insecure than KU basketball fans. And that's accurate to say they are 'basketball only' fans.

KState seems to have a very loyal fan base... they travel well.

Funny how when Ksu made their run in basketball a few years ago, Parsons seemed content with it and praised them. Then when it was Wsu's turn he acted as if Wsu was doing something wrong just for being good.. It reflects the attitude of the typical Ksu fan.

Agree on all counts. K-Staters are really salt of the earth people. I actually like Manhattan, KS quite a bit. Less pretentious than Lawrence. I can't wait to watch our football game in the Little Apple this fall.

When I was in high school, one of the most aggressive schools in terms of mailers was K-State. I have to admit that on occasion I wonder what might have been had I ended up there.
