Let's not schedule KU till they have another down year. Sports Illustrated is picking them for Final Four & CBS sports as #2 in preseason.
They lose a bunch after this next year, so let's offer to schedule 2016/17.

It doesn't matter.. The last time KU added a NCAA tournament opponent to their schedule, based off of what happened in the NCAA tournament, was Memphis. And if I remember correctly, that happened 2 years after the fact, on a neutral court. That game lacked something with Calapari being gone.
You sure didn't see KU kicking down doors to play Michigan or Stanford.

They seem to consider Kentucky a big game when Kentucky ownes the series against them. Lol. I find that odd. They'd be better off scheduling wsu and ucla..They'd probably lose to us, but unfortunately we wouldn't embarrasse them like Kentucky usually does.
Any loss by the Beakers to the Shockers is an embarrassment for KU; IMO the record of the two coaches over the past 5 years predicts a Shocker victory regardless of game locale. No way is Self scheduling WSU given the likelihood of an annual loss clearly demonstrating the best college men's basketball team resides at 21st at Hillside.

Now this is a funny Beaker posting; apparently this twit thinks the Beakers lost to the Shockers due to the Beakers having a down year. Just too funny given their National Ranking (#8) and a 2 seed in the Big Dance.

Please go back to Phog Land and life in your bubble.

Not to mention 2 potential first round draft picks. Wish we could get that kind of talent.

I am interested in whether Marshall will ever recruit One and Done players to play for him; given his preference for team players focusing on defense. Oubre is IMO an excellent example of an highly skilled HS basketball player who would not be recruited by Marshall, while Andrew Wiggins could have been a player of interest for Marshall.

The entire ranking system practically gets based on KU losses. They are always so plentiful that many teams can ride their win over KU to a decent ranking, seed and early loss in the Dance. There is no such thing as a down year for KU because they are a fixed metric. Unless you are willing to admit there's a possibility that in "down years" KU is still deemed worthy of the top ten rankings they hold after double digit loss totals because of their name only.

KU can be ranked ahead of WSU, lose the game, and then claim they'd rather be graded based on their better seasons because they think we obviously must have caught them in a down year.

KU will be about the same next year as they were this year. The fact that they are getting preseason love is just an indicator of how highly the rest of the Big 12 will be able to climb after half the conference beats KU.

Funny isnt that what KU did against WSU in the 90’s?

Isn't this exactly how the Big12 was "the best conference in the NCAA" last year? A bunch of mediocre overrated teams that wouldn't have been top 2 in the Valley, beating each other up every time someone's ranking slipped too far?

Bruce Weber and Bill Self are out hunting one day, when the conversation eventually leads to them discussing KU's double-digit loss to WSU. Suddenly Bill collapses. He appears to not be breathing, so Bruce calls 911 on his mobile. Bruce excitedly exclaims into the phone, "I think my friend has died of a heart attack! What can I do!??" The operator replies, "Calm down, I'm here to assist you. First let's make sure he's dead." There is silence, and then a shot rings out. Bruce gets back on his mobile and says "OK, now what?"

Marshall recruits the best player that is the best fit. In rare instances, that player is of one and done potential. He has yet to sign such a player b

Just based on our scheduling history...

If KU scheduled WSU, KU would have their worst year ever and be 150+ RPI.

And WSU would still hear we didn't play anyone on selection Sunday.

BTW, KU would still be a 4 seed.
