.......it's bad enough that message boards are cloaked in anonymity, but it's low rent dogshit when the anonymity is fraudulently portrayed as someone that has the best interests of Shocker basketball in mind. The amount of new posters on here recently has went apeshit and as SHOCKvalue stated, the board needs a filter to keep the garbage out of here.

I think the mods need to monitor the threads more closely. For instance if we have a thread:
a) Regarding Greg Marshall and what he DID or DIDN'T do (like sign a contract, for instance) and
b) It was initiated by a new poster and
c) Does not contain a link to a news story

Then it's probably bogus.

A couple of years ago, it was a bunch of flakes from Missouri who turned this blog into their own personal fish pond, trying to troll everyone.

This year, they appear to be a little sneakier, as they appear to be trolling by spreading information that is straight-up incorrect, as opposed to insulting everyone.

I wouldn't be put out if the mods initiated a policy that anyone with less than 50 or so posts can't start a thread. That would probably take care of the problem if it could be done without much effort.

I'm a bit out of the loop on what the system software can do, but that isn't a bad idea to restrict thread starts by newbies. It affords us the opportunity to do this if need be:
