I think WSU actually broke the ice on these types of things by effectively outbidding a couple huge schools for several years and then capping it off with the Alabama situation. All the sudden a bunch of P5 athletic departments are thinking "man, we are supposed to be big time and WSU just threw 3.3M at Marshall."
