Isn't life interesting? Chris tried so hard to be a "gangster" when he was in college. Now, in his 40s, he's using his intelligence, wit and charm to continue his very successful career.

He also uses his "pulpit" to espouse his opinion, in a hunt where he has NO dog, that good teams with good kids should simply play each other and so what if one fan base gets to crow about it for a few months until they play again. What a concept.

I think the first stat about the first weekend exits as a Top 2 seed is all-time, with Roy Williams wearing a few of those. I think Self had 3 of those (UNI, Stanford, and WSU). Still, for as great as it has been, that program has some major warts.

"This will be the 6th time in the 12 year Bill Self era that KU has lost to a team seeded 5 or more spots below them. Unbelievable" This quote was from nick wright's twitter. The other was less specific just stating they had 6 first weekend losses as a top 2 seed, so you're probably right. Either way, 6 times in 12 years getting knocked out by someone at least 5 seeds lower is horrid.
