  • Guys, guys. I need some help. I think I slept through the game. How did it turn out?

I had this wild dream that Evan did a great audition for an NBA three-point contest. Ron also broke out of his slump. Zach Brown even got into the act to slam this one home. Gregg coached circles around Self. The flagship left in tears after the Shockers played angry. Gosh, what a dream!

Anyway, if you all could let me know how it turned out, I would appreciate it.

The Beakers won by 65 (90-35), an awesome beat down performance with every Beaker player schooling each Shocker unfortunate enough to leave their bench and enter the game. CBS reported that Self refused Marshall's request for advice on how to better defend the Beakers.

KU committed to play the Shockers again in twenty-five years if the NCAA deigns to grant each the #1 and #16 seed they will undoubtedly deserve.

        Darn. Next time, I guess.

          • My 4 sisters are all KU grads as are my 4 brothers-in-law and and most nieces and nephews. In our house, we remain true to the WU and my mom has attended games for over 30 years. Pre-game, all the Beakers were trying to talk smack and piling on.

I chose not to engage. You can't imagine how sweet it is now to savor this win. And we now have SCOREBOARD for as long as it takes for a rematch. I'm not going to gloat, and it will drive everyone crazy.

We sat down in the corner just off the baseline by the Shocker bench on Sunday. There were quite a few KU people around and from about the 8 minute mark in, they were all sitting in stunned silence. I mean they weren't even trying to encourage their team as if they had already resigned themselves to the impending doom. I was kind enough to wave as a few of them started to leave with somewhere between 1 and 2 minutes were left. Bye Beakers! It was great to see the euphoria on the faces of the players, coaches, and other staff as they exited through the tunnel right by us. What a reward for all these guys' hard work.

How 'bout we go get at least a couple more ... we're playing with house money.

I won’t go into detail at this time, however your situation is similar to mine. I’m just keeping my mouth shut and smiling. :)

              • Congrats from a VCU fan. It took forever for us to get games with UVA and VT then the season we got them beat one of them (UVA) on a dagger three in their building then rolled the other by 30 in a game the governor put together. I want to say I know EXACTLY how you feel, but to be able to knock those guys out of the tournament puts your win yesterday in on a whole other level of satisfaction (granted, I know what it's like to knock Kansas out, and that felt pretty good a few years ago, but they aren't an in-state rival of ours).

I'm guessing this doesn't help your chances of scheduling them in the future, but if they don't, that's years of bragging rights for you all.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Gregg said it best. We're good with the series just like it is at this very moment. I think the whole AFH-Sprint-Intrust offer needs to go out the window. We've now earned the right for demand home-and-home. If they want to settle this score, they'll need to come to Koch.

Had yesterday's game been in Koch, Gregg's men would have won by 30. If the Beakers wilted like that with a quasi-neutral-advantage-them crowd, they would have peed down their legs in the Roundhouse.

                      • I would rather schedule Indiana, Creighton, North Carolina, Duke, or a number of OTHER teams.

In the second half, I could barely hear them chanting "Go Jayhawks," only could hear their band. I do like the KU music ... too bad it's KU's.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

I completely agree. I don't care AT ALL about the series anymore or anything. We currently have the last word, and that settles that for now. If they feel a need to schedule us because they can now admit that they have something to gain, we will gladly accept. However, we now have nothing to gain by playing KU, so it needs to be a home and home. That's the entire reason why this game was important to Shocker fans. I am tired of having to deal with condescending crap all the time, and now I don't have to anymore. They lost a ton of leverage in their own arguments, and the schedule debate just took a huge turn towards WSU.
