I think it will be close. Evan will guard Perry and DC will match up with Lucas/Traylofr. This will help to keep DC out of foul trouble. We must keep them off the glass and win the turnover battle by a wide margin. Most intriguing match is FVV against Mason. KU is a different team when Mason is rendered in effective. Wouldd be huge if Msson III got some esrly foul issues. Selden will be guarded by Ron and Seldens slight size adv will not matter as he just stands outside the 3 pt line. Cotton will matchup fine with Oubre and I think he will frustrate him. Perry is going to get his 20 and 10. We need to turn them over and get in transition. KU struggles in defensive transition at times and are prone to turnovers. This plays right into our hands. If we dont get killed at the free throw line, i really like our chances. I think the only adv they have is at the 4 spot and we are better at 1-3.
Play faster tomorrow limit turnovers and stay even on the glass and the ft line and i think we go to Cleveland next weekend.
Beating KU, in my opinion, would be about the same as reaching the Final Four, but certainly no higher.
Wonder who our opponents will after moving on to the Sweet 16 Sunday?
I feel ya. With Marshall we get a reasonable crack at making it to the Final Four nearly every single year ... but we only get to shut the entitled, Obama lovin', snotty-ass, ticket scandlin', obnoxious, Shock dissin', Marshall hatin', bail bondin', commie lovin', chickenshittin' KU fan-base's mouths up once every 20 years or so. You aren't talkin' about "bragging rights", like how these other posters interpret what you said -- you're just talkin' about the feeling of satisfaction! LOL
Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!
And they could add "How did those criminal charges against Jamari Traylor work out?"
Not trying to be a negative nancy, but we should avoid pointing fingers about criminal charges and players being on the bench for the next game. (please don't let this turn into an argument, just trying to make sure we make fun of ku for things that don't make us hypocrites.)
I'm guessing Ron knocks down a few more shots, foul trouble is still going to plague the Shox, and it comes down to the last minute. If the whistle is an even one, (which should be a vegas side bet) I think WSU wins by 2. If the whistle favors KU.... KU wins by 3

I thought I would feel differently about this game. I'm really proud of this program. The kids keep playing hard and don't quit. The coaching staff works their tails off. All class all the time. Oh, and they win, a lot.
I honestly couldn't care less about the 30% of the ku fanbase that's completely bandwagon. The 20% that is completely douchebaggery, eh. Whatever. They're shitty fans. The rest are probably mostly decent folks and many of them on some level are WSU fans.
This is an amazing program to support right now. We just beat one of the bluest of blue bloods that played their game. And we won. Our guys are advancing in the biggest tournament in the world. Again.
Will the guys win Sunday? I don't know. KU will certainly have a say in the matter, but you know what? So will our team. Everyone wants to survive and advance. I don't know who's going to win but I know our kids will give everything they have to get there, and no matter the outcome I will proudly say it is a GREAT day to be a Shocker.
I don't care that we don't play ku, even though it should happen because it would have been great theater mostly the last 10 years. After Sunday, win or lose, I don't care if we don't play them for another 20+ years. Their fanbase doesn't deserve to play our team. I'm totally cool with that. Much bigger fish to fry.
Thanks to Gregg Marshall and the entire WSU program for again putting us in a position to succeed at the highest level. This is truly a wonderful time to be a Shocker.
