I've never seen and certainly hope to never see Shocker fans getting their jollies by demeaning other fan bases. Those are the people that spoil the whole fanbase.

I was already pumped for the game, but now I'm out for blood. Time to put supposedly big brother in his place.

Was he going into his half-way house?
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

I think WSU will be a focused as they've ever been.

Baker, to start the game, should launch a trey from the half-court line right in front on the CBS crew.
If they only play us every 30-40 years, I mean why the hell not?

Dan "dickhead" Dakich predicts the Hawks will beat us bad and shut us up on Sports Center.

Thanks Dan. Just what we needed.

Dan's a little sour that we shredded his team up for turkey sandwiches. Of course he's gonna pick KU.

Well, so far he's 0 for 1 on WSU predictions this tournament. So bring it on Dickich.

KU fans like to take after their coach: run and hide.

Perry is 6'8". I would say D.C. at 6'7" is going to guard him. Frank Mason and FVV are both 5'11" so that's a wash. KU's other guards are a match-up problem however. Oubre is 6'7", Seldon is 6'5" and 3-point specialist Greene is 6'7" as well. Both RB and TC are giving up height to those guys.

Down low, Lucas is 6'10" and Traylor is 6'8". Their other guy getting playing time is Graham, he's 6'2" and certainly doesn't pose a height problem.

So overall, yes, they have a height advantage on us. Obviously, they're athletic too, but KU has been known to simply shut down for periods during the game and play boneheaded basketball. The key to a Shocker victory, IMO, is that WSU gets out big early and place the pressure on them. Or, WSU hangs with KU and waits until they go into one of their predictable funks and then we can pull away.

Beating KU, in my opinion, would be about the same as reaching the Final Four, but certainly no higher.

Wonder who our opponents will after moving on to the Sweet 16 Sunday?

Can't watch games that Dakich does. Hoping he makes a wrong turn in a tunnel and accidentally gets locked in a room with Fran McCaffery.

Tell them that they will probably get married again before KU plays WSU again so it's OK to miss the wedding

I'm not to worried about KU's height plus they don't have that shot changer in the middle. Baker and Cotton are strong, solid, and veteran. Brown at 6-6 should give solid minutes. KU seems to occasionally have a problem turning the ball over and if they don't take care of the ball I really like our chances. Team that plays the best deffense wins..

                          SHOX more points
                          HAWKS less points

Ironically, I can't wear either of my favorite Shocker T-Shirts Sunday. One says "Fear the Wheat" and the other says "You don't wanna go to war with the Shockers." KU already knows that.

As for the game, my father has always been a goodhearted jayhawk fan (a nearly extinct species). This year, however, he said he picked the us over KU because, as he says, "the Shockers have more heart."

                            I can't argue with that.

                            Rock Shock - 76
                            Chickenhawk - 71

As Ron Baker, the maker-no-faker-earth-shaker-future-laker-beaker-heart-breaker goes for 30

Zach is 6'6 so he can help. The real issue is Evan. Again, Zach could help at the 4 with Evan helping at the 3. Rashard needs to bring it on Sunday on D and on the boards.

To me they are just team between us and a rematch with Kentucky. That is all..
