On a similar note, 2 people picked us to go to the Final 4. Interestingly enough, we are the only team that got picked to get out of our region besides Kentucky.
Gotta luv Len honoring his brother like that and I hope he is right, but he and Battier must think UK gets beat in the RD of 16 cuz I don't see WSU keeping UK off the glass, not a good match up for WU.......Still my biggest heartbreak as a kid watching Robert Elmore and company blow that lead against Michigan in 76, that team could of made the finals vs Indiana that year.

If only Cheese had dribbled out the clock instead of taking it into the lane...Rickey Green would never have had a chance at the game winning shot.

DG could handle the ball and he had Desmond Mason on his team (great college offensive player). That year was an over achieving year for OSU. He was not a good defender, and as established, couldn't shoot at all.

I wasn't even talking about FVV playing in the league but since you brought it up, he has so many intangibles (very good defender, no turnovers, great distributor, good shot, knows how to draw fouls, really good clutch shooter and free throw shooter, great leadership, etc.) that he will imo get a cup of coffee (maybe a little more) in the NBA.

I watch a LOT of NBA (STH with Blazers); I think guys with FVV skills are rare, but his height makes for serious limitations. Most that make it have some "extra" quality. He reminds me more of Patty Mills; Mills has ridiculous speed! For FVV to make it, he needs someone to give him 2-3 yrs to develop; I'm just not sure that opportunity comes within the NBA proper. Perhaps if he could survive in the D; perhaps overseas is better (although I've not seen too many American overseas players transition BACK to the NBA). For FVV, he has to hope a team sees the potential and gives him the time to develop under the tutelage of a great PG. IMHO.

Continue the lineage with the Knicks, and learn under Fish, dish to Cle.

                Was it a yellow brick?

If so, I am sure you are bleeding yellow right now.

He makes good points. WSU, I think, is a better team than KU. But it always comes down to making shots... WSU was a HELLOFA lot better than ISU and that didn't go well either. Baker, Fred and Cotton would have to be 'on'... but they gotta get by IU first.

Coach - no dogging on that one as you are probably more right about Europe...BUT...I could see it. He's just so damn savvy and gets athletes the ball in scoring position. Smart player you just don't see much of these days. Crossing fingers...but my gut says he catches on in league and actually does some good stuff turning some heads.
