I never understood how he made it as a Div. I basketball player because he was terrible and I haven't listened to him since he made an ass of himself by degrading FVV after St. Louis a couple of years ago. It's a free country but any Shocker fan who does, I think is misguided.

Yeah he just was the starting pg on a FF team, he sukd. He didn't say anything about Vleet that any NBA scout wouldn't say. Fred is grt8 college guard but he is not the most athletic guy on the court. It is what it is. Plus it turned he was right, WSU played a hell of a game v UK but they did lose and were bounced early from the tourney... ..

I haven't watched much NBA the last few seasons cuz my Suns have...well...sucked. BUT...I am waiting for a certain PG from Wichita St. to get me excited about watching NBA games again. Not athletic enough??? I get it. But FVV knows the game and will make all comers All-Stars. I'm putting my rep out there on that one.

Gottlieb was a great guard who averaged around 5 points for his career, shot 25% from 3 point land, and shot an average of 45% from the free throw lane. What I never understood is why more teams didn't just put players in the game to foul him and put him at the line and then pull them after giving up 20 fouls to DG. This would have been a winning strategy.

On a similar note, 2 people picked us to go to the Final 4. Interestingly enough, we are the only team that got picked to get out of our region besides Kentucky.

I never said DG was a great guard but he was a great play maker, 950 assists in 123 games. I don't know why he got the yips shooting in games but he did, no denying that, Fvv will have a good pro career.......in Europe. JMO don't flog me for it
