Why are we piling on the Memphis guy? He's always been a respectable poster on SN, and is a cheerleader for WSU on the AAC forum. Seems okay in my book.

There's no piling on. I discussed a differing viewpoint with him and he's progressively getting more and more angry over me disagreeing with him.

One person disagreeing with him is certainly not piling on, though.

I'm all for taunting and mocking Creighton and the Big East at every opportunity, but they made $48 million per team to put up ABSYMAL television ratings.

That is BRILLIANT business. It's practically highway robbery.

Each and every Big East team will make as much in two years, of a 12 year contract, with half as much TV content, as any AAC member will make in nearly the entire length of their current TV deal. Any three teams in the Big East make more than the entire AAC TV contract combined.

We don't make a dime to put up better ratings than every team in that conference, if not numerous teams combined, and yet every one of those teams is getting paid for another decade.

I didn't use any term to describe "a basketball conference." yes you did, P5 refers to FOOTBALL CONFERENCES I used a term that the Big East was not a part of. because they don't play football Not to mention that BCS is a football term, P5 is not. yes, it is... And I have complete confidence in how much each of your Conference USA teams were worth. lol, I'm sure you do...oh, how I miss the REAL Conference USA...Memphis, Louisville, Cincy, Marquette, St Louis, Charlotte, DePaul (when they were good) UAB (when they were good)... As did the C7 teams. Your CUSA conference was very clearly not worth much of anything that must be why the BE coveted it's members so, and it's why you as fans are still SO angry about being left at the altar by the C7. I want CUSA 1.0 back...I feel nothing for the BE. You joined the "Big East"but didn't get a fraction of the revenue you wanted... < - where is the word 'fan' in that sentence...you keep saying you use it...but you conveniently forget it from time to time (on purpose) and yet they got all of the revenue THEY wanted. and good for them, why do you think that would bother me? Because their product was worth considerable money and yours was not. and we got the exposure we NEEDED

I like how we got a 7 seed this year compared to a 1 last year, but I actually like our draw this year WAY better. Indiana and KU both aren't big and are turnover prone. We match up well. Even notre dame besides one 6'10" guy are boy that big. I think we could make it to the elite 8

Let's just hope we make the Elite 8. At that point, I would agree that Kentucky would be tough, but as of today, I'd take an Elite 8 matchup with the USA Olympic team if getting those first 3 wins came as part of a packaged deal.
