    WSU Versus S. Illinois predictions and Pregame Discussions

    Here's the deal. We are playing at high noon Friday against no lions, no bears but dawgs. S. Illinois had their way versus Missouri State but this trend will soon change. The Shocks are hungry to repeat as Champions at the Lou. Look for Baker to be the maker of 22 while FVV hands out 11 assists. Our bench needs to come on strong for us in this tourney in preparation for the Dance. We will need our bench. Scott is calling us Goliath and we need not find any David's. Shockers win by 14. Barry just said it is a 'death wish' to earn a win to get to play WSU.

    Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

      Lots of pressure defense, especially early. Shocks get a big lead and then cruise as HCGM intermittently rests the starters throughout the second half.

              Salukis will get dawg tired after having to play last night and may not get to 50. Shox could probably win by 30 but will use the big lead to rest players for the weekend. Shox win 72-49.

                  Maybe that is why he wasn't looking real cheery at the awards luncheon yesterday. Not because he didn't win the COY award as has been suggested. Hopefully, it is something he doesn't spread among the players although I don't know how he could avoid that and even if he could it may be to late.

                            It's available on ESPN3 but the blackout map shows Kansans cannot watch without a front row seat or similar alternate avenues.
