Just witnessed this windmill dunk on ESPN highlights just now. I still feel the breeze.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

So glad he had 2 perfect moments on senior day to cap off his regular season career. That 3, and that dunk. Both followed by, as you might guess, steals.
Wichita State shocker fan from the year before the first final four till now. Sorry Mr Stallworth you just got bumped to second place. Tekele thank you for four great years.

Still can't get over that dunk. Not just because of the dunk, which was incredible in its own right, but because of the moment. There aren't that many perfect moments when everything happens exactly as it should, but that was one of them.

His tenacious D., his amazing dunks, and when we need a defensive stop or a basket at key times, Cotton produces!!!!!!!!!!! In his 4 Seasons here, if not for his defensive stands against our foes best players, we would Not have won this many games during his tenure. Tekele is not done doing all of the above in the precious games left we get to watch him play for our beloved Shocks
Exactly. What is interesting is not only how Tekele is the winning-est Shocker in history...but how that number would have been significantly less were his amazing contributions were not a part of each victory--on both sides of the ball.

Looking back to the practice in October, 2011, here are my comments posted then:

Coach singled out EO for his play in practice today. Had only one situation where he fumbled a catch.

Got the impression that we may still be recruiting for one more this year (VanVleet's class).

Anacreon was in New York attending to mother's heart surgery yesterday. Mitchell is sidelined with concussion.

There wasn't any 5-on-5 scrimmage except for a 38 second remaining in tie game situation. Coach said they'd been doing a lot of that.

Wessell looks as if he might be a weight room fanatic, very solid. His shooting was horrible at times and very solid at times.

Freshmen/newcomers were often in the wrong place and getting yelled at for it.

There were some very nice plays, even near the end of the 2.5 hour practice. It is non-stop, other than there are sometimes three teams of 5, and one team watches the other two.

In most of the 4-on-4, or 5-on-5 sessions , scores are kept and losers run sprint for stipulated time, from 12 to 30 seconds.

Installed a zone defense and then practiced it in for a short 5-on-5 session.

Hard to tell about individual perfomances because most of the time was teaching and practicing drills in 2-on-2 or 3-on-3 or 4-on-4 sessions. Lots of upper class telling newcomers where to be in some of the drills.

Jake White looks to have a nose for the ball, and has a sweet shot out to 15 feet (could be longer, but I wasn't watching for that). Hope he has the necessary quickness (again difficult to tell from this practice)

Tekele Cotton also has nice shot and form. Seemed to move very well.

Coach Jans and Marshall really teach. Heier and Ford were out recruiting.

He seems to have used his 4 years with 24-hr access to a weight room well. Not that we didn't already know that, but...

I should give credit to Travis Heying of the Wichita Eagle for this great picture of Tekele's final Koch Arena masterpiece. Way to go Travis.

Wish he had caught him at the pinnacle of his leap (what, five seconds later?).

Caption that photo. His expression looks kinda concerned there.
