Favorite Shocker ever. The perfect teammate, the perfect worker. Plays basketball the way few do anymore, and does it with his mouth shut except to pass any praise to his teammates.

So glad he had 2 perfect moments on senior day to cap off his regular season career. That 3, and that dunk. Both followed by, as you might guess, steals.

I teared up when he finally came out. Couldn't have scripted that finish for him any better.

Somebody (except the Sixers) draft that man!!!

@Gary:ParrishCBS: Of course I talked to Tekele Cotton about THE DUNK. (And about forever being Wichita State’s ‘other’ guy.) Column: http://cbsprt.co/1AVUEbc

"And I could continue to note the accomplishments, and that would make for a nice column. But I'd rather spend this space writing specifically about Tekele Cotton -- Wichita State's consummate other guy."

"His mom, in her own way, predicted all of this.

"Tekele wasn't really highly recruited," said Cotton's mother, Leza Jones. "But when we came for a visit I told Coach Marshall, I said, 'He's going to change things for you.'"

I would love to see that dunk with Mike Kennedy's call.

Can't show you that, but I can show you my face when he did it:

The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

Was looking around the local news web sites for video of the net cutting and came across this video of the dunk - http://www.kwch.com/sports/watch-tek...l-jam/31546796

Cotton is just another example of solid players that come in here and work hard to get better, stronger, and find his niche in to help our team. 3 things I will always remember about him. His tenacious D., his amazing dunks, and when we need a defensive stop or a basket at key times, Cotton produces!!!!!!!!!!! In his 4 Seasons here, if not for his defensive stands against our foes best players, we would Not have won this many games during his tenure. Tekele is not done doing all of the above in the precious games left we get to watch him play for our beloved Shocks
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Ditto on favorite ever. There have been lots of great players in WSU history, but if I had to point to one person that personifies everything WSU basketball is and should be about it is Tekele Cotton.
