I believe this had its own discussion a couple of years back. Wasn't it because the MoValley guidelines restrict replays of controversial plays?

The Missouri Valley guidelines allow for any play to be replayed on video boards once and only once, at regular speed. Not a terrible policy IMO.

FredEx was allowed when it wasn't GameDay. FredEx is disallowed during GameDay. Why assume it's the AD being the "fun police?" Past history would point to the fun police being ESPN.

yes you are correct.

Institutions must refrain from showing replays on video boards where an officiating
call could be considered a substantial part of the play.
