I didn't see any mention of it in the past week but regardless I think it deserves its own thread.
As of the 2/7/15 victory over Missouri State and subsequent victory over Indiana State last Wednesday, Marshall's overall win total as Wichita State's Head Coach has tied and surpassed the number of wins acquired at his stint with Winthrop (194 wins). At Winthrop he gained this number of victories in a total of 9 complete years; at Wichita State he only required 7.5 years. As of right now, Marshall needs three more W's to get to 200 victories with WSU and only 9 more W's to get to 400 total victories as a Head Coach. Also he only needs 3 more W's to get to 100 victories in Valley Conference play (excluding tourney). Also on the horizon for next year, Marshall and his players will probably need a 15 to 20 win season (easily attainable) to tie and surpass Ralph Miller and earn the title of Wichita State's winningest head coach.
Just some interesting statistics that I uncovered recently about our beloved head coach.
Now you all can do with those numbers what you do best. :)
Discuss and Debate as fans about probably the best thing to happen at Wichita State in the last decade.
And on a side note, Marshall has yet to lose the same number of games at Wichita State (74) as he did at Winthrop (83).
