I was hoping he would take the drama out of it and get it done before then, but that's the way it's getting lined up. It would be a fun thing.

When Cotton was a freshman and everyone was questioning Marshall about his lack of scoring, Marshall said that Cotton would score 1000 points before he was done. I'm really looking forward to it. He needed tonight after the past couple of games.

I was at the SWOMO game, I know they were short-handed but it was just uncanny how many balls Tekele tipped or stole. About midway through the first half Tekele was so in the guard's head that when trapped in the corner he would not look to pass to the closest man because Tekele was "lurking" just waiting to get his hands on a pass. The guy just has a 6th sense and can almost guard 2 opponents on the press because he anticipates so well. Its fun to watch him play defense, of course dunk, and awesome if he can get to 1000 points to boot!

If he goes by his current season average, Cotton will get 1k in the first game of Arch Madness. He only needs to score 1 more ppg over his average the remaining 5 games to do it on senior night. There is actually a decent chance FVV gets 1K this year too. He needs 119 points to reach the plateau and he is currently averaging 11.8 ppg this year. So if he scores his average for the rest of the year he basically needs 10 games (lol this would actually give him 999 points, but I trust FVV to pick up 1 extra point in 10 games). We have 5 left in the regular season, unless a pretty big upset 3 at Arch Madness, and I'd say we have a pretty good chance to play 2 games in the big dance. Crazy all 3 of the big 3 could reach the milestone so close to each other.
