Ya, coach went a little overboard with this, even mentioning it on the post game show. You can't ask two kids, one only about 3 feet tall to 100% pay attention. Like everything else at the Chuck these kids are part of a sponsorship package. If you want total focus from the broom crew then hire adults and require them to be engaged enough to be "Johnny on the spot."

Which is what I've said all along. As soon as FVV slips and breaks an ankle because some kid is, well, "acting like a kid" and daydreaming, then the Athletic Department may do something about it.

What did he say about it? He DID go overboard and I was embarrassed for him. I hope he apologized to that child. I have no problem putting professionals in charge of that task, and maybe that's what needs to happen, but that was way over the line.

And by the way, put someone down there with the ball boys to tell them when to clean the floor. I hate it when the head coach has to run clear out to the free throw line to bring it to someone's attention.

Then Ron went out to clean it and then Coach grabbed him with the "Don't go out there, that's six men on the floor" yank before getting the ref's ear.

The Doug Gottlieb show came on and I usually turn it off but I was working outside so I thought what the hell. At the end of his show he said the NCAA was looking into the Syracuse Basketball program, then he said they were also looking into Wichita State. I had a pain in the gut when I heard that, of course I know he just loves to spread anything negative about us. Been looking online but havent seen or heard anything. Is he full of **** (well we know the answer to that ) Anyone know anything?

It was at the end of the post game. He was looking forward to a sandwich and a beer and people who could wipe the sweat off the floor. I understand something bad could happen to a player slipping, but come on coach. Staring down a 6 and 10 year old doesn't play very well.

Unlike the fans complaining about some in game promotion like the sound meter or the kiss cam. The coach has every right to be pissed about the floor being wet. He is looking after the safety of his players. None of us fans want someone getting hurt cause some little kid with the best seat in the house can't pay attention to what he is supposed to be doing. I sure hope someone starts a thread about this topic and it gets to 30 pages like some of the petty meaningless stuff we fans spend countless hours complaining about.

I would bet the kids are told not to go out on the floor while the game is going on. If they wiped the floor during the game it would only be a matter of time until one of the kids got trucked on a fast break or the referees would be forced to stop play. Imagine Marshall's reaction if that happened. Obvious solution is to just have adults do the job.

If the sweat thing is so damn important, then there should be a facilities staff member either performing the task or present with the kids and overseeing each crew.
