I would be really surprised if Marshall gives up on him this quickly. BUT Conner better hold his backside with both hands if he screws up again because I do believe he will then be booted out the door. My message to Conner --- wake up kid, get your act together, you have a really good chance here to prove yourself, don't mess it up.
I think most WSU supporters and fans are reasonable people and will be behind Conner if he shows remorse (at the drinking and driving; not at getting caught doing it) and also shows he is worth the risk of giving him another chance. I also think a lot is going to depend on how the current team members view this and treat Conner. Marshall "raises" good young men and I think these guys would want to be in Conner's corner right now.
I can just hear Fred -----Last edited by Shox21; January 26, 2015, 10:27 AM.

This was stupid. His brain isn't finishef growing yet so dumb decisions are still a part of his life. Just because other basketball players doing dumb things hasn't become news worthy, don't be naive enough to think that our coaches haven't been making important adjustments in others lives.
This is serious enough that appropriate consequences are necessary. We will probably hear some, but not all from Gregg. It will be handled.

My gut says if it were Fred or Ron those same people would be upset but not ready to dismiss them from the team. Not surprising, but unfortunate.
This is definately serious and he will get punished in some way both legally and probably by Marshall (perhaps privately more than we know). He certainly doesn't need me passing judgment or punishing him as well.
Let this be a tough lesson learned and thank God no one was hurt.

Not excusing what he did, but we are all guilty of sin in this house. If I'm wrong, please let me know because I'll be prepared for the second coming.
One can only assume those attempting to minimalize the implications of drunk driving, or draw asinine analogies, have tested those waters in their own lives, now finding a defensible commonality with CF's current plight.

See everyone. Many on here are quick with the boot with Conner. Perfect example right here."He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

Moving on...
But yes, let's all move on...."He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

I have had a few people I know, get in trouble for D&D. Did I chastise them and say GTFO of my life? No, I was there to support them. They knew they made a mistake. They didn't need me to give them that constant reminder.Last edited by Shock Top; January 27, 2015, 01:21 AM.The Assman

One of my friends got a DUI two years ago. He is one of the best people I know, he made a dumb choice. He has lived a great life helping others ever since then.
I texted during my drive to the game yesterday.
We all do dumb things, and I do sympathize with people who make mistakes, if I feel they deserve sympathy. I think most people fall in this catagory. When you make a mistake, I hope someone gives you a second chance and you can see mercy at its finest.
