I'm not a tea-toteler, just have never felt the need to artificially enhance myself in order to "have fun." The need to drink to excess in one of the lamest inclinations a person can have.

Adrenaline works a lot better, and it is free.
He's not just talking about drinking and driving... Maybe you would understand it if I said, "let he who without sin cast the first stone"

I would agree that he is young and young people make stupid mistakes. Hell, even old people make stupid mistakes ie politicians etc, however, to say he is too talented and means too much, is the wrong message on so many levels. This sends the message that if your are good looking, really smart, really rich, or a really good athlete then you can be allowed to do stupid things and not be accountable for it. I think that this will play out and there will be severe consequences to remain with the team. Again this will be a teaching/learning moment for not only the BB team but for the entire athletic community.

Sorry I maybe getting old but I was and am a adrenaline junkie, both have their place. His main problem is the use of a auto. When your young you think your invincible. A few drinks and common sense goes out the window.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

I also have to wonder about the time. I would think Marshall has an in-season curfew on school/game nights.

Oh! He's also talking about "mistakes", and that awesome logic that they are all held equal, off in some far-off kumbaya BS hypothetical land.

A "holier than thou" attitude is wholly appropriate when the issue at hand costs lives of the innocent.

                        Well how about that?

That's the real story here. I am confident that the Marshall Plan will get this kind of stuff out of his system. I wouldn't be quick to throw him under the bus here.
I do find it very interesting.

I'm amazed that Jenn was willing to break the news.

I know I'm not saying what he did wasn't stupid or irresponsible, but you also have to understand that people DO make mistakes and SHOULD BE FORGIVEN if they are truly sorry for their actions, because not a single person is perfect...

This would be just another weekend in Lawrence...Took a KU transfer for Marshall to get a his first player with a DUI at WSU. Maybe we should ask KU fans how this should be handled...although the cops there probably don't hand out DUI's to basketball players..lol

He made a big mistake, hopefully he's learned will be punished and we can move on.

                              1. This is a shame. Conner knows better I am sure.

                              2. I am glad no one was hurt.

                              3. There will be punishment from a legal standpoint, from a monetary standpoint, from HCGM, and otherwise. I am hopeful CF will learn from this and not repeat the mistake.

One other thing. We better not get too angry with CF in particular until we know who was in the car
