Here's the deal. Our beloved Shocks are playing well right now and will keep improving. The X factor player that could continue to make a positive impact is the "The Rock of Shaq-Braltar. When that bulldawg ran into the Great Wall Of Shaq, it made my own teeth chatter. Maybe that is how we should have taught Jake White to take a charge? Now the X factor for the Shocks team efforts could be our stingy defense that will continue improving. We were in so many passing lanes versus the Bulldogs I thought the police were going halt the game to hand out some moving violation tickets.
Loyola now comes knocking at our door and the Shocks will answer it with a 22 point win to give us a 9-0 Valley record on the front 9. Loyola was picked last by some and have done better than expected and have some fine players. However, going down memory lane in the 1965-66 Season when Loyola was ranked 3rd in the Country, we still beat them here. Winning against the Shocks at 21st and Hillside is harder than pulling hens teeth even more so "in the here and now." FVV will set an assist record with 11 in this game and Baker will swish 7-3-pointers. We will not look past Loyola and will come in as prepared and as focused as ever. They deserve our full attention.
