I think Lundardi has 3 valley teams in right now (Drake, Ill State, and SIU) with ISU and SIU being one of the last 4 in.

Actually he has the MVC as a 1-bid league with only Drake in. Ill St and SIU are in "Next Four Out."

Southern Illinois will not get an at-large bid. Period.
            Deuces Valley.
            ... No really, deuces.

The only team I can see getting an at-large is Drake if they lose at St. Louis. Maybe Ill St or SIU is they win their final games and make the Championship game at St. Louis.

Does all this mean that the Valley has a chance at four teams in the dance after we win the tournament?

The pool of potential bubble at lager teams this year is pretty horrible. There is a ton of mediocrity in college basketball. There will be numerous at large teams this season with substandard resumes in relationship to past years.

as much of a down year the valley is having this year. We are still 7th in the RPI as a conference.

The thing about the Valley this year is we dont really have that many if-at-all any marquee wins.

Last year we had Wisconsin, Syracuse, and LSU. I know im missing some more though. And say what you will about Cuse and LSU the national thought is still a small conference is not supposed to be able to beat those teams on their home floor.
