It sounds like he will be serving as a faculty member rather than part of the athletic department. I don't think that it really affects the athletic programs. You never know, though.

I think it's a positive - former high ranking Big XII and Pac 12 official. Seems to me he would have some good insight to share with students and professionals.

Any time you can have someone with as much experience and CONNECTIONS as he does its a good thing. He may not be a Jim Schaus but he knows a whole lotta folks.
