Great game by the Shockers. I love how the team responded to Fred being on the bench! How many fans here would have picked the Shockers to win, if they knew Fred would be on the bench over half the game. I know I wouldn't have. One of the announcers said that the Shockers had 3 players with a PG's attitude between Fred, Ron and Cotton. So with one PG being on the bench, you still have 2 who can play with a PG's attitude. Have I said how lucky we are to have this team and how much I love them?

Going all the way back to my comments the first couple games - defense and depth.
Also, take out two quick TO's by ZB and RK we took vey good care of the ball. Very
good TEAM court awareness and unselfishness. DC starting to play to his potential
and SM playing solid smart basketball. Defense !!

Great win and a statement win like others have said. The bad stuff that happened, like easy drives to the basket and turnovers, can be turned into great teaching moments at practice. The Marshall family needs to hide HCGM ties on game days :)

The only thing more impressive than that game was not a single Greg Anthony season over reference in the whole thread - I can't believe no one threw one in - that's gold Jerry, gold!

Ron is clearly the better all-around player. Not really even close.

That is what is so special about Baker. He is an awesome defender, a lights out sharpshooter, played point guard again in solid fashion since FVV seems to get fouls at such a faster rate in the Valley than in any of the Non-Con games. Hmmm. No wonder 3G is confused about this development. Even so, nothing or nobody today was going to slow down our laser focus today. 18 points by both Carter and Baker today Evansville normally is a lights out shooting team, especially at home. Very solid board work by our Shocks today. Shaq is getting better and Wessel gave us a lift today also.
