    A couple of observations:

-FVV can't buy a foul call driving to the basket to save his life. It's almost as comical as the Jake White charge thing, except it pisses me off when other guards get those calls. He was bodied, hand check, kneed when defenders were late to switch and still nothing, except a couple of fouls called way away from the basket. I don't get it. Luckily, Fred is not me and he is adjusting by spotting up the little 12 footer in lieu of driving; I would've already been tossed out of at least five games already. I was really happy the way he let the game come to him the last five minutes and took it over without forcing anything.

-Rashard needs to go back to being Rashard and I think that will happen next game. It's no wonder we are getting out rebounded when our best rebounder sees the floor about five minutes the last two games. It's hard to get into a rhythm doing that but HCGM will not let someone who is not a veteran play through a rough patch-just not his style.

-HCGM said that tomorrow he would have to listen to all the folks complain that we only won by eight, that we have two losses, etc. and he was pretty happy we were 12-2. Not sure if he is talking about our local pundits, the national wankers like Goat Lube and Goodnuts or the senile, inebriated callers on the Coaches show. There isn't much we can do about the first two categories but the latter is really starting to embarrass me as a halfway educated fan. Most of you esteemed colleagues on this board match or exceed my fandom, so I can't imagine you are thrilled about it either. Intelligent questions that are critically thought out are one thing; buffoonery singling out individual players and obvious stupid queries like we need to rebound better don't we? drive me fricking batty.

-If I were coach for a day I would do the following two things. Trap earlier in the game full court and take advantage of our quickness and conditioning and hide our lack of a straight up post defender and 2) make whoever their big guy is guard Rauno out on the floor by running some sets isolating him. I think he is a good enough passer this could open up some cuts to the basket and actually allow us to get an offensive rebound once in a while. Probably need to stick to my day job.

They should screen the calls and take Twitter questions.

Marshall has built an expectation monster in Wichita and now he has to feed it. He knows that. It's not always going to be fawning adoration. All the best coaches get criticized from time to time. No doubt Coach can handle it although he's probably a bit surprised by some of it.

Some of the callers on the coaches show are the worst.

The questions tomorrow night will be around rebounding (we know he's concerned), loose balls (we know he's unhappy about today's effort) and Shaq (we know the jury (Gregg) is still out). Part of being a million dollar, D1 COY is dealing with the paying public. All the paying public, not just the smart ones. He can handle it. You best not fret the coming questions, they are inevitable. Besides, if the usual suspects don't call, who will? Pretty bad call in show if no one calls.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

If people are smart, they will forgo the (I'm so intelligent, I should be a coach too)dumb questions, and call in giving him the compliments that he deserves for what we are enjoying as fans. 12-2 is a great season so far and we will be 13-2 after Wednesday.

Doesn't the mental midgets calling in with their expert analysis provide some degree of entertainment value?
