Hamilton can't play with his back to the basket as of today. At his height you have to figure coaches have worked with him on that. That doesn't mean he never will, but it's unlikely he will next year.

    Carr was 225 in 1983. That's like 250 now.

Carr did not play much with his back to the basket either. Cliff did, which is he had a higher scoring and rebounding average than AC...

As much as we need post players we need rim protectors and its a bonus when they are one in the same

We started this year with a 6'0", 6'3", 6'3",6'4",6'7" lineup. Assume Fred and Ron return we could go 6'0", 6'3", 6'6", 6'7", 6'10". That should help compensate for a true "back to the basket" post man.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

I am not intending to be rain down on the kid. As mentioned, he is a nice guy.
However, it is what it is and he doesn't have enough eligibility/time left to develop to where he can play at this level.

The real issue is WSU now operates on a different level than it did just 5 years ago. Expectations have risen to the point where a 10-2 non-con record cause half the following to contemplate jumping off the top of Cessna Stadium.
Translated; the days of taking a gamble on a 2 year player with limited experience or talent are long gone in the rear view mirror.

It certainly puts more pressure on the recruiting arm of the staff. But they created this monster and along with the money and notoriety comes the enormous pressure to continue the upper level success.

HCGM made the quip about shaving and recruiting. They better get to work and find the low post stud that is required if they want to continue to reside in the high rent district.

            That is all.
If he only had talent like Graham Hatch.

That will probably whizz right past Shock Ref but it was really funny.

I disagree... He was one of the most efficient back to the basket scorers in the country. I think he was the most efficient his jr. Season.

Are you sure? Carr developed into a player who was almost automatic with his back to the basket. Cle also became a very good post player.

                    Bobb,
As usual, your tongue-in-cheek humor made me chuckle.

Your comment also prompted one of the numerous J.O's on here to pop out of their hole.

                    So very predictable.

                    That is all.
Above all, make the right call.
