I was wondering why Zach Brown was so far down on the depth chart to start the season, but it looks like whatever that reason was he has started to rectify it. I assume it's just "getting it" as HCGM would say.

No matter what happens at the end of this game, for all the people on this board who want to say we look like a mid-pack MVC team or don't look like a top 25 team or whatever, I think we need to remember it's really really hard to win on the road.

We take it for granted because we are really really good at basketball and really really good at winning on the road. The second best road record recently? Got blown out by 25 today on the road.

They see us in their rear view mirror. They keep pushing the gas pedal to the floor, but their is no throttle response. When we win on Christmas night, they will see our tail lights...

Some credit to Bob Hull for his prescient commentary. In the timeouts prior to the final Shocker possession he said the Shockers needed to attack the boards on any shot attempt because these kind of games are often won on an offensive putback. Good call Bob.

Tough to win on the road in College BB especially when the team shoots poorly. One characteristic that 3G's teams do bring consistently is their toughness and their dislike of losing. The newbies look like that are starting to absorb that Play Angry culture pretty well.

Hats off to Rashard, Zach Brown and Rauno. I was particularly glad to see Rauno with the rejection at the rim late in the game.
