Semi Ojeleye leaving Duke. Now where does he land?

  • #2
Even with the possibility of Jahlil Okafor entering the 2015 NBA Draft, finding minutes in Duke's front court moving forward was likely to be difficult for Ojeleye.

I wonder how well he knows Shocker freshman Kord Ferguson.

I'm not that active on this board, but I've heard we have a few open scholarships for next year, right?

His brother, Victor, played at KSU (I also use to work with him FWIW). Great guy, would love to see his younger bro join the team.

Can 3G's work his wizard-magic on Semi like he did on Frankamp?!?!

A class comment by Duke's Coach K compared to the BS comment by BS:

“We want to thank Semi and his family for their commitment to the Duke program for the last year and a half,” Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski said in the release. “He has been an excellent student and a great representative of our school and basketball program. He has been granted a full release and we definitely wish him the best.”

I think we could use a 6-7, 230 lb forward that was rated as the #30 player in his high school class!

He chose Duke the first time. I don't want him. He is sure to ruin team chemistry. He's going to steal someone's scholarship. Send him away.

                  Just kidding : )

Well, time to start going this thread some love. Perhaps we can build it up to CF levels, if Semi decides to come.

I only watched half of the first high school video, and it's pretty obvious that the kid is a monster talent, it appeared that he took a lot of shots outside the flow on the offense. Basically, his talent is such that he can score whenever and he decided he was going to shoot regardless of what the defense was doing. My guess is that one of the reasons he didn't see a ton of court time at Duke is that he hadn't quite picked up the flow of the offense and finding a good shot.

Do any of you guys know if WSU has an In with this kid? He looks like a plug and play Power Forward and WSU will be loaded at Guard next year assuming Ron stays.

Here is his recruiting thread: http://shockernet.net/forum/showthre...jeleye-to-Duke

WSU did not seem to be on his radar. K-State was thought to have the inside track before he went with Duke.
