I don't think an NCAA Division 2 school could host for such a thing, but I don't see why Gregg's squad couldn't play here if WSU just took its name off the host title and let the Valley host it.

If you take WSU's name off of something, and replace it with the Valley name, no one in the country wants anything to do with it.

If I recall, Saint Louis (Lewis) University could have played at the Scottrade Center in the NCAA Tournament last year. As long as the Shockers don't host, they can play there.

So can we un-host at this point? Something tells me that's easier said than done.

"A team will not be permitted to play in any facility in which it has played more than
three games during its season, not including conference post-season tournaments.

A host institutions team shall not be permitted to play at the site where the
            institution is hosting.
However, the team may play on the same days when the institution is hosting.

Teams may play at a site where the conference of which it is a member is serving as the host."

St Patty's day? Oh **** the beer will be flowing and flowing that day. Better hope Creighton doesn't figure out how to get into the tourney that year.

Why not? They'll spend a billion dollars on beer, and tickets to the weekend session will be virtually free.

                  Congrats!

On a personal note, I was hoping that Omaha continued to host opening rounds. First day of the opening round is a long day, but such a blast.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

If I am not mistaken, Oklahoma was a co-host, amd handed it off to the Big XII to be able to play in OKC several years ago.

                    Did they close that loophole?

If possible this would be huge.

OU was #1 seed playing in OKC. They were scheduled to host, but withdrew late in season when it became apparent they could get a #1 seed.

What league will we be in for the 2018 season?

MWC. I really think that is possible.

Missouri State will have already gone from the a Sun Belt, to C-USA and be competing in their first Big 12 campaign.
