After the CBU loss, the lunatics took over the asylum...then, we lost Skal to Cal/UK...and it got REALLY bad

I think our defense will be the difference early in the game, plus I see us shooting better from the perimeter. Kinda goes both ways though, Memphis is probably lucky to be playing us early because our young front-court is only going to get better....Shocks 74--Tigers 59. I think we will get in their heads and take control midway through the first half.

            Why did I go there...?

A guy says "Marshall ain't coming here. Besides, I think we can do better."

Maybe he thinks they can get Coach K or Phil Jackson?

Somebody list for me the coaches who are better than Marshall right now if you are an AD at a college who is looking? I don't even care what criterion you use. The list will be short regardless. Seriously, who is that poster thinking about when he says that? Izzo? Vince Lombardi? Obama?

If you point out we had to settle for Pastner after Mike Anderson, Tim Floyd, Scott Drew, and Leonard Hamilton all said 'no'...they get very upset with you...they're not a fan of facts.

                Running joke with them.

Our old AD always said "he had a list" in case Cal left...everyone on his list said no, and we hired Pastner.

If the Memphis guards watched the game against NMSU, I expect they packed extra under garments for the trip to Dakota.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Why do you think so many coaches past on the Tigers? I don't remember the whole timetable, but wasn't Pastner hired before the NCAA accusations came out or were there rumors before Cal left? You were paying Calipari big bucks and are now paying Pastner more than you were Cal so money would not seem to be an issue and that can cure a lot of ills.

Rumors were rampant at that point, and no one wanted to follow Cal...Fred Smith/FedEx ensure the Memphis basketball coach is a top paying job.

Probably just as well off with Pastner over most those guys.

If that is the list your AD had, I would recommend hiring a new AD before the next basketball coaching hire comes around. Woof.

I found shockernet in 98. I was trying to find information on Matt Clark and Randy Burns as they had just verballed or signed with Turgeon. It was still a tight knit group then. Marty Moose was there.
