  • 2014-15 Bracket Projections Thread

This thread will be slow until the calendar turns but why not have a spot to dump all the bracketology stuff.

Lunardi's preseason projections came out a minute ago and he has us as a 2 seed in Omaha.

Future/potential opponents in the projected field include: Utah (5 seed), Nebraska (6 seed), Memphis (8 seed), Colorado (10 seed), GW (11 seed) and New Mexico State (13 seed). Tulsa is one of the First Four Out.

Good heavens. Once signing period is over, he'll probably also issue his first way-too-early 2016 bracket.

Anyway, if Memphis is a #8, where's Christian Brothers? Oops -- wrong tournament. Also, though, maybe not a good idea to joke too much about a future opponent until the game is over and, one hopes, safely recorded as a W. I'm glad WSU is catching Memphis early this year, because they could be one of those teams that needs experience but can be pretty good once they acquire it.

West Region with first two games in Omaha - I would like to see that fall into the Shockers lap in March. Arizona as the #1 seed, would make a great Elite 8 game before the Shockes move to play in the FF again!
