Improvement with record every season since GM's coached at Wichita State. How do you improve on 35-1. Loose a couple games in the regular season and go to the Final Four again? Ideally, go undefeated and win a National Championship.

There aren't many ways to improve on 35-1 and Coach of the Year. It's unrealistic to expect much more. However, there is ONE way to improve on a NIT Championship, a Final 4, then 35-1, and that is to win it all. It's possible!

On the other hand, I think some very realistic ways to continue an "improvement trajectory" are to raise the level of recruiting and also for the university to grow in attendance and strength. In other words, get to work on the things that help sustain success. Well, those things are happening, and this is BIG. Our recruiting is fantastic right now, and our university is taking a bite out of the market.

Other ways to improve:
Crank out more and more players into professional basketball. Get more accolades. Pile up wins and enter the discussion with the coaching greats. Become legendary instead of great.

He won't be able to improve in win-loss totals, but he can do other effectively-equal things.
