  • Phil Jacksons Pre Season Take on Cle Early

From Phil Jackson's point of view.
New Knicks president gives his preseason take on every player on his new roster.

"Cleanthony Early is a rookie who has a lot to learn, but he's very athletic and is physically mature. Still, because he doesn't have a really big body, he's sure to get posted. On the plus side, he's very aggressive on defense and knows how to play the passing lanes. At the other end, he's good in the open court and has legitimate 3-point range, but his shot is a little flat. Like most rookies, he'll be a work in progress for a while."

What's in store for Phil Jackson's first season in New York? The new Knicks president gives his scouting report on each player on the 2014-15 roster.

That was a little harsh. Are you off of your meds again?

Oscar Robertson had a very unique FT shooting style, but he hit 82.8% in the NBA. Of course, Henry Carr had a very unique FT shooting style(s) and...

Too bad, Big Boy. See a doctor.

Cle had two types of 3 ball shots. One with nice arc and one that was almost flatter than a fritter. Very few of the fritter shots went into the hole.

Flatter shot? Early vs Dwight Praylow?

<Giggles> I guess I forgot about Dwight, even though I saw virtually all of his games.

I'd toss Cooz in that mix.

I think Cooz made 2 or 3 from the bottom side of the basket.

I can't recall. I covered my eyes every time he shot the ball.
