$10 of the $18 is a service fee for the club section. Trust me, it's worth it.

Furthermore, something is wrong when it costs more to have the tickets e-mailed to print at home ($2) than it does to have them snail-mailed ($0).

Print-at-home fee is charged because the web host charges a fee to have the tickets emailed. Select-a-seat is not making any money off of that. And they actually lose money through the snail mail.
Also, you can avoid all fees if you purchase in person at the box office. Since it is a Sedgwick County taxpayer-funded arena, it's going to cater to Sedgwick County residents in that aspect. If that's not convenient for you, then you will be charged convenience fees accordingly so you don't have to leave the comfort of your own home or take the hassle to drive down there to get your tickets to you.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Generally, family shows and sporting events will range from $5-10 per ticket in service fees. Higher-end concerts from $10-15. Select-a-seat is less than Ticketmaster though so it could be worse.

You get a lot of extra perks in club seating that no one else gets and for whatever reason they separate the fee from the tickets price. It probably has to do with how the money gets divied up. That ten dollars is for all the extra staff in that section. And if it gets added to the ticket price, that would likely drive it up even higher, as the arena only gets a percentage of the ticket sales.

This year's late release was about ~40% smaller than last year's. They are flying out the door much quicker, too.

Article about the redshirt situation at SLU
Apparently SLU scrimmaged Memphis. Reportedly, SLU won by two.
"SCRIMMAGE EVALUATION
The Billikens played a “secret scrimmage” at Memphis last weekend in what is a growing trend among college teams. The scrimmage was closed to fans and media, but several sources confirmed SLU beat the Tigers by two points. Memphis is just outside the top 25 in the Associated Press and coaches’ preseason polls.
“It was good because Memphis is athletic and really gets after you,” Crews said. “They pressed, which was good. I thought our guys did a good job. We shared the ball, moved the ball. We didn’t rebound very well. We got better as the game went with ball handling. At the start we weren’t very good but got really good, which I liked.”Last edited by jocoshock; November 13, 2014, 02:14 PM.Kansas is Flat. The Earth is Not!!
